How to fix the error “A Device Attached to The System is Not Functioning”
When you see this error message, it means there is some sort of connectivity issue, and there are several ways to get rid of it.
Try a different cable and different port
Before moving any further, try another USB port. If you still see the error message, try using another USB cable.
Restart your PC and your iOS device
The connectivity issue may occur due to some glitch in the system on the iOS device or the PC. So, it is advisable to restart your computer and your iPhone or iPad. A restart can fix a variety of minor bugs and glitches, so make sure to give it a try.
Enable Keep originals for Photos
Many users fixed the error by enabling the “Keep originals” option in Photos. Here is how you can do that.

Update iTunes
