How To Archive Email In Gmail

You can archive individual emails or entire inbox messages. If you don’t know how to do this, just follow these instructions:

To archive a single email, go to the folder “Inbox”, put a check mark next to the email (for example, “Password successfully changed” from Skrill) and click on “Archive” button at the top of the screen.

To select all emails, click on “Select” button which is to the left of “Refresh” button.

Then, click on the “Archive”.

Processed email immediately disappears from the “Inbox” folder but you can find it later.

So you put the email in the archive. A year has passed, and you can’t remember your Skrill password, and then you urgently need to see the content of the archived email. But, how to find it?

Unfortunately, Gmail doesn’t have “Archive” folder and you must find your achieved email manually. But it is easy.

Click on “More” button on the left side of the screen and click on “All mail”.

In the search field at the top, enter the proper keywords (Skrill password, for example).

Then you will see your email (“Password successfully changed”) on the list, the only one with no label.

If you want to restore archived email to the “Inbox” folder, it is enough to put a check mark next to the email and click on “Move to inbox” button on the top.

Note! If you reply to the email, when it is in the archive, then the whole chain will automatically appear in the “Inbox”.
