How to quickly export and import Mozilla Firefox bookmarks

Assuming that Mozilla Firefox is more popular than the other internet browsers, most people probably don’t know how to export bookmarks from Firefox. To solve this problem there is a simple effective method:

To start, you need to launch the browser and click on the “Bookmarks” at the top of the screen. Then choose “Show All Bookmarks”. This will open the window that displays all the data that placed in the “Library”.

There are many items, among which you need to click on the “All Bookmarks” on the left side and there you will see all the data about bookmarks. Then select “Import and Backup” at the top of the screen, and from the drop down menu click on “Export Bookmarks to HTML” and specify the path where you want to save it. The experts advise choosing the desktop as it is easily noticeable. After that, you need to confirm the action by pressing “Save”. If this process is successful, you can safely close the export window.

Important! By default, all data will be saved under the name «bookmarks» in HTML format.

 

Import bookmarks

In order to import bookmarks in Mozilla Firefox, do the following:

Open the browser, click on “Bookmarks” above the tabs and click on “Show All Bookmarks”. Then, “Library” will be opened and at the top of the window, click on “Import and Backup”. In the small menu, click on “Import Bookmarks from HTML” and go to the folder where the file “bookmarks” were saved. Select that file and click “Open”. That’s all.
