The new features are starting to roll out today, but the company said the new options will be available to all the users in a few weeks.
There are many new great things coming our way, including the option to turn off comments on any post, and like comments by tapping a heart icon right next to the comment.
“We’ll soon add a way to turn off comments on any post,” said Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom in a blog post. “Tap “Advanced Settings” before you post and then select “Turn Off Commenting.” You can also tap the … menu any time after posting to turn commenting back on.”

If you have a private Instagram account, you will be able to remove the followers without blocking them. The user won’t be notified.
Systrom also added that now we can anonymously report self-injury posts.
“If you believe that someone you care about may be thinking about injuring themselves, you can report it anonymously, and we will connect your friend to organizations that offer help. We have teams working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, around the world to review these reports.”
All these new features are starting to roll our today, and in a couple of weeks, they will be available to all the users. So, if you don’t see them right away, have a little patience. They are coming your way. Systrom added the company will continue to work hard to “maintain Instagram as a welcoming and safe for everyone.”
