The iPhone SE was launched on March 21, 2016, and reached the stores on March 31, 2016. It was seen as an iPhone 5s successor which continued with its predecessor’s small screen size of 4 inches and resembled the iPhone 5s in design. But the iPhone SE had some upgrades under the hood which made it better in performance from the iPhone 5s. It included a processor which was the same as the iPhone 6s processor. The phone also supports iOS 10 software and it has an upgraded rear camera too. This means that you can enjoy clicking Live Photos and using Apple Pay on this device.

iPhone SE was re-released by Apple on March 2017 with the new rose gold color option included along with the space grey, silver and gold color options. The iPhone 5 and 5s were some of the most successful smartphones created by Apple. It was loved by many. So when the iPhone 6 made its appearance with a bigger screen, some Apple phone fans simply wanted to stick to a smaller screen.

Its specifications mimic those of the iPhone 6s while its design conforms with the design of the iPhone 5s. The only difference in the iPhone 5s and iPhone SE’s design is the matte chamfered edges and a stainless steel Apple logo on the back of the phone.

It uses the A9 system on a chip by Apple which is paired with the M9 motion processor. The phone is capable of using NFC technology so you can use Apple Pay on this device and with its re-release in March 2017, Apple offers the iPhone SE in 32GB and 128 GB models.

Like the 6S, the SE also uses a 12 MP camera. The front camera has a 1.2 MP lens. 3D Touch is not a part of this phone and it does not include the Touch ID sensor either. It was a great upgrade for iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 users who wanted to use a phone with a small screen. The camera quality is good and the performance is great too.
