Today, Facebook launched a new feature called “M” inside the Messenger app. M is a Facebook digital personal assistant that probably will compete with Siri on iOS. We don’t know the difference between them yet and which one is better, but according to the official spokesman of Facebook, M has the ability to execute some orders, such as purchase items, get the gifts delivered to your loved ones, book restaurants, travel arrangements, and more.

It will become a new interesting feature to make everything more effective. It is possible because Facebook has lots of affiliation networks.
This is the official statement from a Facebook spokesman, David Marcus, VP of Messaging Products:
Today we’re beginning to test a new service called M. M is a personal digital assistant inside of Messenger that completes tasks and finds information on your behalf. It’s powered by artificial intelligence that’s trained and supervised by people.
Unlike other AI-based services in the market, M can actually complete tasks on your behalf. It can purchase items, get the gifts delivered to your loved ones, book restaurants, travel arrangements, appointments and way more.
This is early in the journey to build M into an at-scale service. But it’s an exciting step towards enabling people on Messenger to get things done across a variety of things, so they can get more time to focus on what’s important in their lives.
You can download or update your Messenger application to be able to try the M digital personal assistant.
