Acer has officially introduced their first Windows 10 device  at IFA Berlin in September, and on October 12, they re-introduced the device through a demo. This new Acer smartphone is called Liquid Jade Primo. This is a collaboration between Microsoft and Acer in presenting the new mobile device category, which adopts the continuum technology. It’s a technology that can turn a Windows 10 mobile device into a PC through a continuum dock. With its complete capability, not only as a mobile computing, but also as a real desktop computing, this technology can become a revolution in productivity.

In that event, ST Liew, the president of Acer’s smartphone Business Group presented a demo how this technology can really work for you. The interesting thing from that demo is that the device was connected wirelessly with an Acer monitor without a continuum dock to access the PC ability from it. It’s truly amazing, because on October 6, Microsoft showed through a demo about Lumia 950, by using continuum dock and cable, while Acer presented it wirelessly. ST Liew demonstrated how he could access the universal PowerPoint apps and its device can turn into a trackpad. Besides the capability as a trackpad, this device allows the access 2 applications at one time.

There’s even a joke about someone who use this device: “he could display his PowerPoint presentation while also playing a game on the phone without his boss noticing.”

In that event, they didn’t mention the detail specification from Acer Liquid Jade Primo, and Mr. Liew said that it probably will be provided with wireless keyboard and mouse, a beautiful dock station in which the phone perches vertically and monitor. We are still waiting the next official news from Acer related to the specification and the price.
