Microsoft reportedly bought Swiftkey, the popular keyboard app for Android and iOS platforms, according to The Financial Times. Microsoft paid $250 million to Swiftkey developer, TouchType, a UK company. The official publication will be announced this weekend.
Swiftkey is one of the most popular keyboard applications for iOS and Android. The interesting thing from this app is the AI capability from the server and the application can predict the words. Microsoft has introduced the Word Flow feature on their keyboard, similar to Swiftkey.
The last report said that Microsoft is developing a third-party keyboard for iOS, and by buying Swiftkey they will make it better.
