Motorola has released Moto G Turbo for Mexican market as a spec update for its prior version Moto G. Both have the same design, we almost cannot see the difference when looking at it at a glance. The Moto G Turbo has a water resistant feature IP67 certification, the upgrade from IPX certification, which makes the phone waterproof up to 1 meter and 30 minutes, as well as dust-proof.

Moto G Turbo offers the current specification for a mid-range smartphone. Like its prior version, it has a 5-inch display, but with a bigger resolution, 1080p. It makes the display density high to reach 441 PPI. The 1080p is a standard resolution for smartphone’s display this year for a mid-range device.

Moto G Turbo uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 with 8 cores. For comparison, the previous version of Moto G uses Snapdragon  410, which has 4 cores. The RAM and its internal storage has capacity of 2GB and 16GB, and can be expanded up to 128 by using a MicroSD card. The rest of it remains the same between Moto G and Moto G Turbo. The rear and front cameras have the same resolution: 13MP and 5MP. Both devices use the same Android 5.1.1 Lolipop, which, according to the information, will be updated to the Marshmallow in the near future.

Even though it uses a higher processor and display resolution, Moto G Turbo still has 2,470 mAh battery capacity. This battery capacity may influence the battery life time. The Moto G 3rd gen price is between $180 and $220, depending on which configuration you choose. The Moto G Turbo price is the equivalent of $283 in Mexico.
