Wearable gadgets should not be limited to smart bracelets and watches. There are some companies that have a unique vision regarding these technologies and Orcam’s MyMe wearable camera is a good example in this aspect.

The wearable camera concept is not new. But what happens when you combine a video camera with a complex artificial intelligence algorithm?

You get a personal assistant able to compensate for your lack of distributive attention, which will make your life much easier.

The MyMe system consists of a camera that is attached to the clothes and a Bluetooth headset that transmits information to the user. The creators say it could create profile pages for people you know at a party and introduce them automatically to your phone, or record what you eat throughout the day.

Orcam is claiming that MyMe can offer the experience of “augmented attention” through an artificial intelligence that responds to audio and video information in real time.

In many ways, MyMe kinda reminds us of Google Glass, but the company believes that their system has several advantages in terms of privacy. Specifically, MyMe is not saving the data that is being recorded, instead, it analyzes everything in real time.

Although you are not wearing a camera on your face but your clothes, it will still be hard to convince some people that your gadget is not recording them.

Orcam’s MyMe will be unveiled during CES 2016 which will take place during 6 to 9th of January in Las Vegas, Nevada.
