If you really like Internet Explorer, and you plan to use it for the most of the tasks on the Internet, it would be wise to set the browser as your default. You must do it if you have several browsers installed on your computer. Other browsers offer a large number of possibilities but they also have their drawbacks and because of that, you want to go back to Internet Explorer, where all is the usual and familiar. When you select Internet Explorer as the default browser, you will not have to choose the web browser each time you want to surf the Internet. How To Set Internet Explorer As The Default Web Browser
If you installed Internet Explorer, you will see the message that it is not your default web browser. If you somehow skipped this message, Internet Explorer will no longer show this window and you will need to set it as default in the another way:
The first way is to go to the settings in Internet Explorer. Just follow these instructions:
Open Internet Explorer and click on the settings icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
In the menu, click on “Internet Options”.
This will launch a window that contains your browsers options and there you can see seven tabs. The option that you need is named “Programs”. Click on it.
There you can see the option “Make Internet Explorer the default web browser”. Click on it and you will be redirected to the Windows Control Panel in the section “Default Programs”.
Then, find Internet explorer on the list and click on “Set this program as default” and confirm with “OK”.
The second way is using the Windows 10 Settings.
Click on Start button and select “Settings” from the opened menu.
Select “System” section and at the bottom, you will see “Default apps” option.
Click on it and find “Web browser section. Click on Microsoft Edge icon, the default browser, find Internet Explorer on the list and click on it.
After these settings, Internet Explorer will replace Microsoft Edge and it will become the default web browser.
