Microsoft announced Surface Book, their first 2 in 1 laptop that comes with a detachable display a month ago at the official event that was held in New York City.
During an appearance at Trinity College in Ireland today, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple’s relationship with Microsoft is “really good”. As Independent.ie reports, Cook also shared his opinion about the Microsoft’s Surface Book.
“It’s a product that tries too hard to do too much,” Apple chief executive said.
“It’s trying to be a tablet and a notebook and it really succeeds at being neither. It’s sort of deluded,” he added.
Cook told the students at Trinity College that Apple will hire additional 1000 employees in Ireland for its operations in Cork.
“Apple is proud to call Ireland home,” Cook said.
Two days ago, during a special iPad Pro event that was held in the Covent Garden Store, Cook questioned why anyone would purchase a PC, and he said the Apple’s 12.9-inch tablet is a replacement for a desktop or a notebook for many people.

The iPad Pro is now available for online purchase in 40 countries, along with the additional accessories Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
When he was asked about Apple Pay, he said that payment service will soon be available in Ireland.
“Your kids will not know what money is,” he added.
