Popular taxi app Uber is now launching in Edinburgh.
This is not the first city in Scotland in which people can use Uber. Last month, this service was successfully launched in Glasgow, and now it is finally coming to Edinburgh.
This service allows the customers to hire a taxi with ease, and connect with the driver in minutes using their mobile devices.
In order to use this service, users need to download Uber app. The application uses GPS technology, locates the drivers nearby that are currently available and connects drivers and customers.
According to Uber, demand for the services was huge. More than 65,000 people have opened the Uber taxi app in the Scottish capital.
“We have been blown away with the reception we received in Glasgow, so are really excited to be launching in Edinburgh today,” said Uber’s general manager for UK expansion Max Lines.
“Thousands of Scots have embraced Uber over the last few weeks and we hope to continue this success in the Scottish capital.”
“At the push of a button, people will be able to get a ride which is convenient, safe and affordable.”
If you live in Edinburgh or planning to visit the city, starting from today, you’ll be able to use this service and hire a taxi using Uber app.
