After a fairly long period of time since Sony has sold the systems, the new owner of the brand has announced Vaio Z and Vaio Z Canvas.

Although we have always been drawn to the Vaio premium systems, when Sony sold the division to an investment fund named Industial Japan Asian Partners it became reluctant that we won’t see any new premium creations too soon. But the improbable happened, and we have the first image of the new systems called Vaio Z and Vaio Z Canvas.

VAIO Z is a top ultrabook with a premium casing made up of a combination of aluminum and carbon fiber. Depending on the budget, it can be purchased with a wide variety of Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7. Trying to adapt at the market’s demands, the new Vaio Z comes with a folding 360 hinge, that, according to your needs, it can turn your laptop into a tablet, folding the screen to the back of the keyboard. With a starting price at $ 1,600 , regardless of the version you target, you should always get an autonomy of approximately 15 hours.

Vaio Z Canvas is closer in concept and execution of a Microsoft Surface tablet, thanks to the detachable keyboard and support that you can use to support any surface gadget. With a diagonal of 12.3 inches, the interior hides an Intel Core i7 next generation.

The configurations in both cases include a high degree of customization, though chances are infinitesimal for it to be available in other countries other than Japan.
