What is USB OTG and how you can use it?
To begin with, OTG stands for “on the go”, and with the OTG cable, you can connect your mobile device or tablet to another USB device, such as a mouse, keyboard, USB flash drives, printer, just to name a few, in which case your mobile phone or tablet will act like a host. For example, if you want to print a photo from your mobile phone, you won’t need a PC, because you can connect the phone to the printer. Or, you can connect the phone and the mouse, and use the mouse to play the game on your Android device. You must admit this is pretty amazing! If you want to get the USB OTG cable, you will spend a few dollars only, because OTG is more than affordable.
The list of things you can do with the OTG cable is pretty long, and you have so many possibilities. For instance, you own a tablet. You can connect the external keyboard, and in a blink of an eye, you can turn your tablet into the small laptop. You will be able to use the keyboard and type with ease. In case you have an external storage in which you keep your favorite TV shows or movies, you don’t have to store the episode or the movie to your smartphone or tablet to be able to watch it. All you need to do is to connect the phone or tablet with the external hard drive or USB stick using USB OTG. To access the data easily, just use the file manager on your Android device.
